Ms. Stein's Algebra I Course

Today we studied compound inequalities.  The first part of the “notes” is the Welcome Problem from pg. 157-58.  The homework is pg.41: 1-12.  We will have a quiz on Friday, and a test on Tuesday.

Today we began our study of inequalities.  We discussed inequality stuff, and then we got into solving them.  The homework was pg. 39: 1-6 and pg. 40: 7-15.  There will be a quiz Friday.

Today began our discussion of equations, and we got to play with the TI-Nspires for the frst time.  The homework was pg. 22: 1-20 in the workbook.  Make sure you show your work!  No work = No credit! 

We discussed adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers today.  We took some notes in our notebooks, and we did some classwork out of the textbook.  The homework was a worksheet.

During class today, I assigned books to about half the class (the other half was at an assembly), and we took notes on “Translating words into mathematical expressions” and “Simplify expressions using the order of operations.”  These notes can be found here.  Homework includes several things.  Blog Responses are due by Friday at midnight.  Property projects are due on Monday, and there will be a QUIZ on Monday.  Finally, pg. 2: 1-16, pg. 4: 14-31.
